  • Where are you quarantined and with who?

We're quarantined in London. Unfortunately, we live in separate houses. We both live with our partners and we FaceTime every day.

  • What has been your best quarantine activity?

Dee: I found my new favourite hobby: making Legos. At the beginning of the quarantine, it was the best way to keep being creative and playful. I found my inner child.

Begum: I'm watching more series and documentaries on Netflix now. The Last Dance is incredible.

  • What fun things are you doing online to stay connected to your family, friends and team?

We created this amazing "Harem Critics" game on Instagram where our whole team (production, art direction, set design, graphic design, and even models) critiqued Oscar winning movies, TV series and epic 90s movies. We rated movies out of 10 and created our own IMDB per se. That was so much fun. We still continue doing that from time to time. Also, we shared books and recipes on our Instagram.

  • Helping from home: are you supporting any particular nonprofit or relief efforts?

Yes, it's our 4th week now that we have been making non-surgical washable face masks. We donate to small businesses, as well as charities, care houses and funeral homes. After the high demand, we started to sell them online and 100% of the sales are going to the NHS. We are so proud of this and are so overwhelmed by the high demand and support for our project. We sold almost 100 masks in a week. We are still making masks and it makes us super happy and motivated.

  • How do you stay positive and keep calm?

We believe that we are going through this together, globally. Before Covid-19, the world was very fast in general. This has allowed us to slow down and question this current system. Things will change and we believe that it will be for the good of our future. Our health is the most valuable treasure we have and it must always be the priority.

  • Complete the sentence:

Begum: Being in quarantine has given me a new appreciation for our loved ones and our own health and presence.

Duygu: Being in quarantine has given me a new appreciation for the value of time.

  • What's the first thing you want to do post-quarantine?

Begum: to have a nice big dinner with friends and family!

Dee: Hugs!
