The Fashion Impact Fund supports women social entrepreneurs transforming fashion to scale impact for people and planet.
Women social entrepreneurs are advocating for a new paradigm in the sector - one that leads towards an inclusive, equitable, and resilient world. So often these agents of change represent vulnerable and marginalised populations harmed by the unsustainable practices of the fashion industry. It is imperative to support their leadership and increase media representation as they are trailblazing sustainable development by leading innovations and solutions that are addressing the critical issues of our time.
Through finance, media and business partnerships, the Fashion Impact Fund amplifies the visibility and advances the economic empowerment of women social entrepreneurs shaping the new era of fashion.
The Conscious Fashion Campaign, in collaboration with the PVBLIC Foundation and the United Nations Office for Partnerships, amplifies advertising representation of women social entrepreneurs transforming the fashion industry. The campaign celebrates women who are shaping the new era of fashion for people and planet by showcasing their work in global billboard and digital campaigns. With women receiving only 25%* of news features globally, the Conscious Fashion Campaign aims to increase the visibility of fashion-focused women social entrepreneurs to scale their impact in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network is an online platform for industry stakeholders, NGOs, and Governments to showcase actions, report progress, and share solutions accelerating the sector's contribution to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals. The collaborative community aims to inspire innovative ideas, connect industry leaders, and enable new partnerships to enact sustainable change.
The network is managed by the Division for Sustainable Development Goals - United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the United Nations Office for Partnerships, and the Fashion Impact Fund. Registered commitments are published publicly and form the basis of periodic evaluation of how the fashion and lifestyle sectors are driving change and implementation of the SDGs in the Decade of Action.
Together we can drive change.
In 2015, countries adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2016, the Paris Agreement on climate change entered into force, addressing the need to limit the rise of global temperatures.
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030.
