  • Where are you quarantined, since when and with who?

Quarantine in Portugal began on the 16th of March. I am in our house on the island of Faial, in the Açores, with my husband, our dogs Lola and Gina, and our cat Chicca. We consider ourselves very lucky because it is a country house, with a big garden, surrounded by our vineyards, overlooking the ocean.

  • What has been your best quarantine activity?

My days are always very organised. I work at the computer, I carry out activities for the maintenance of the house and garden, then towards the evening, I go for a walk in the vineyard. And, as always, I love reading and watching old and new films. In this period, I have also created a small brand extension project for Aqua dos Açores that I call "Colour Your Life". It is absolutely consistent with out philosophy of searching for ancient craft traditions and respect for sustainability. I would like to share it soon on Relevé Fashion.

  • What fun things are you doing online to stay connected to your family, friends and teams?

Simple things, just seeing each other online and talking.

  • Helping from home: are you supporting any particular nonprofit or relief efforts?

We live in a small community here, so we are always in contact to support local initiatives.

  • How do you stay positive and keep calm?

Being able to stay positive at all times requires a great deal of effort. Inevitably, moments of greater serenity alternate with others of great anxiety - for the people we love, for those who suffer, for the future of all. We know that when this emergency ends, we will have to face a very difficult situation that will last for years. We remain calm thinking that if we stay healthy we will be able to do it. We have to make it.

  • Complete the sentence:

Being in quarantine has given me a new appreciation for my being able to always find interests and activities in my personal universe.

  • What's the first thing you want to do post-quarantine?

Definitely seeing our family. On May 6th, we became grandparents for the first time and for the moment, we can only see our granddaughter, Anita, from a distance. I also wish I could still do normal everyday things, meet friends, eat and drink wine together, work normally, visit a museum, live with others without fear. I am finding optimism and confidence for the future.
