Where I live, we always clap for the NHS workers every Thursday at 8pm, even till now as a community. This photo was taken during one of those Thursdays. It was such a beautiful moment.

  • Where are you quarantined, since when and with who?

I'm quarantined in London with my fiancé and our sausage dog since around the 23rd of March and still going! At first, time went by very slow but now, I can't believe it's already July! Insane.

  • What has been your best quarantine activity?

At the beginning of quarantine, I was extremely busy with work. Trying to keep up with many changes and preparing for uncertainties kept me on my toes for a good month at least. When I have time, I look after plants in my garden, which led me to learn more about the plant-dyeing process. A lot of people think plant-based dye can only produce 'washed-out' colours, which is very much a myth. Depending on the process you choose and the amount of time you spend repeating, the dyeing process can intensify the hues far more than chemical-dye products. Did you know that avocado skins can make a rich espresso colour?? Super fascinating!

I live and breathe in Pama London. Our Chakra Shorts and Cotton Chakra Bomber have been my every day #WFH attire. Plus I can slip into a quick gentle flow over my lunchtime.

  • What fun things are you doing online to stay connected to your family, friends and team?

Mostly family chat and pub quiz over Zoom is always a good and fun way to spend Friday evening. Every member of our family is very competitive, which makes it very suspenseful!

  • Helping from home: are you supporting any particular nonprofit or relief efforts?

Recently, I've been putting time into learning more on black communities and systemic racism within the US. This has always been close to my heart growing up in California. I recently watched 13th on Netflix, which was a big reminder for me to dig deeper into the subject. I've also been signing petitions, made a donation to Black Lives Matter organisation and a local food bank organisation in Islington. Back home in Korea, I make monthly donations and support the Korean Animal Rights Advocates, which is the only active non-profit organisation that helps with animal abuse issues in South Korea.

  • How do you stay positive and keep calm?

This is something I really struggled with during the peak of the pandemic but taking a good rest and making time for some proper downtime has helped me stay grounded and stop negativity from consuming me.

  • Complete the sentence:

Being in quarantine has given me a new appreciation for nature! All the way! Living in London sometimes makes it harder to stay close to our mother earth. Although I am so ready to travel and to be in contact with nature again, I am also extremely happy to see that our earth is healing from this process.

  • What's the first thing you want to do post-quarantine?

Meet friends and family! I miss them all very much.
