Mission
Fuck Cancer, is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit in the United States and a registered Canadian charity dedicated to prevention, early detection and providing emotional support and guidance to those affected by cancer. They run digital and on-the-ground programs and events that seek to change the way people think and talk about cancer, ultimately improving health outcomes.

Vision
Fuck Cancer believes that people diagnosed with cancer, their families and support network should have equitable access to early detection, prevention and psychosocial support.
Yael Cohen Braun founded Fuck Cancer after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her mission was to change the way people talk about cancer and educate the community on early detection and prevention, while providing real tangible support for the cancer community's hearts, minds and souls.

Julie Greenbaum created F*ck Cancer in honor of her mother who lost her life to ovarian cancer. To honour her mother's legacy, Julie began organising events to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

In 2015, Yael Cohen Braun and Julie Greenbaum announced the merger of their two entities, Fuck Cancer and F*ck Cancer, to form one unified nonprofit. The two founders are dedicated to a joint mission to prevent and detect cancer plus empower their shared community, Generation Connected, to be the generation that ultimately improves health outcomes. Fuck Cancer aims to harness their cumulative experience to create further change and impact in the cancer space.
Prevent
When it comes to cancer, there are many things we can't control, but there are some things we can. Fuck Cancer provides resources, education and programs around being active rather than passive about your health to reduce cancer risk.

Detect
Fuck Cancer aims to put an end to late stage diagnosis of cancer. By providing and funding easy to access education, research and programs on family history, early warning signs and annual diagnostics, they are creating a culture that checks in with their bodies and takes control of their health.

Unite
Fuck Cancer has an authentic community that shares a visceral response to cancer. Their community is a safe space to share, receive support and learn how to navigate the psychosocial side of cancer.
Fuck Cancer’s target audience is Generation Connected (Gen-C). They are a generation defined by a behavior rather than a birthdate. Gen-C consumes and uses digital content as their main source of information and may span across traditional generations.

With wit, edge and humour, the community is a safe space for people to learn, share and support each other in moments when they need it most.
Since 2009, the two organisations have raised over $2+ million towards cancer research and digital tools. A major part of the expansion includes a dynamic events model that will generate a self-sustaining revenue stream. These events will consist of large-scale parties that give young adults who have in any way been affected by the disease a completely unique bonding experience. These events, called FCE, will provide an opportunity for Gen-C to feel a sense of ownership and unity, and will help fund key programs.
