The Brand Bio

Founder:
Carissa Cruz-Evangelista
Established:
2012
Headquarters:
Manila, Philippines
Country of Manufacture:
Philippines

Carissa Cruz-Evangelista established Beatriz in 2012 out of her passion to create beautiful products with artisans and livelihood groups from all over the Philippines. Her designs marry the art of colourful handcrafted workmanship with the heart of social responsibility.

Each bag is individually crafted by carefully laying each line of thread by hand one strand at a time. Employing underprivileged women in Philippine communities, the brand supplements the daily income of the women and their families.

Beatriz's eye-catching prints and festive colours are inspired by ethnic Philippine weave patterns. The result is an authentically artisanal, socially responsible, individually handmade and visually captivating collection carried by well-heeled clients around the world.
