Sustainability is at the heart of everything Oramai London represents - from using flax (one of the most sustainable raw materials in the world) to locally producing designs in their London studio; Oramai London treasures their relationship with their artisans to bring you the most beautiful silhouettes in the most sustainable way.
Oramai London pride themselves on their continuous association with organic farmers and spinners, all of whom contribute significantly to preserving the heritage of Belgian linen. Compared to other crops, the flax plant requires no additional irrigation, therefore relying on natural rainwater during production. Oramai London's linen is produced in a carbon neutral factory, located within a 1km radius from the origin of the flax plant.
Organic Linen
Organic linen is pesticide free and produced by protecting the farmers, factory workers and ultimately the end consumer. Oramai London's organic linen is soft, breathable and 100% GOTS certified, a worldwide standard recognised for organic fibre.
Isabella Broden founded Oramai London as a personal voyage against the misuse of natural resources. It was only after a decade working in the fashion industry that she became aware of its negative impact. Isabella's commitment is to make elegant and relaxed collections without compromising her ethics and values, taking into consideration where materials come from and who makes them.
Oramai London collections are created using organic linen, which requires very little water.Oramai, which is the Italian word for "by now", defines Isabella's belief that the fashion industry should by now employ the highest quality and craftsmanship to produce in the most environmentally conscious way.
