Alpaca fibers rival in softness to cashmere

They are not itchy like wool

They do not contain Lanolin, which can cause rashes if you have sensitive skin

Alpaca fibers have a long lifespan and are naturally stain resistant

• Ideally, Alpaca wool should not be machine washed BUT if your washer has a wool or hand wash cycle, go for it.
• If you want to hand wash your wool:
  • Use only cold water and a mild detergent designed for wool or hand washing
  • Avoid rubbing or agitating the garment
  • Do not use warm or hot water or the alpaca fibers will mat together and feel like felt
  • Rinse the garment in 2 changes of cold water
  • Gently squeeze out the excess water and roll the garment in a clean terry towel for a few minutes
• Fold the garment over a towel or use a sweater rack to air dry
• Never put alpaca into a clothes dryer
• You can use a bit of steam from an iron or steamer to remove wrinkles or help block back into shape
• Dry cleaning is recommended for those who want someone to take care of their garments for them
