  • Where are you quarantined, since when and with who?

My husband and I are currently in our apartment in Brooklyn. We ended up having to move from Manhattan to Brooklyn in the middle of quarantine, which was quite an experience.

  • What has been your best quarantine activity?

Decorating the new place! I'm a frustrated interior designer and I love any excuse to decorate spaces.

  • What fun things are you doing online to stay connected to your family, friends and team?

I'm always calling my mom back home in the Philippines, just catching her up on my day. I talk to my family and friends on Zoom at least once a week. Raia and I have our one-on-one meetings through Zoom, but we're constantly chatting on WhatsApp, Instagram, email or Sprout Social - we sometimes have separate conversations happening simultaneously (work or otherwise).

  • Helping from home: are you supporting any particular nonprofit or relief efforts?

We donated to amazing groups like Corona Care Challenge UK (through Relevé Fashion), Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, NAACP, New York Food Bank, Animal Free Research UK, and the Prospect Park Alliance.

  • How do you stay positive and keep calm?

Keeping myself productive keeps me positive - having a balanced schedule that includes work, quality time with my husband, exercising, reading, meditating, and cooking helps me retain a sense of calm.

  • Complete the sentence:

Being in quarantine has given me a new appreciation for community - and what it means to come together. New Yorkers in particular have been inspiring. I just came from an outdoor Saturday market where everyone wore masks and lined up six feet apart, everyone's respectful of the rules and of each other.

  • What's the first thing you want to do post-quarantine?

Travel! I'm excited to visit my friends in Paris and maybe spend some time in Loire or Marseille (or both).
