Product Description
This printed 100% organic cotton dress features gathered multi-panels and delicate Lucknowi hand-embroidery.
Both prints on the dress are inspired by Persian carpets and represent the Persian garden of paradise, the utopia of an earthly heaven that spread through ancient Persian literature, art and architecture. The Cypress trees represent the afterlife, roses represent innocence, the lotus represents rebirth, the tulip is for prosperity and the star represents mysticism.
These beautiful dresses are made using organic cotton that is hand-woven using traditional techniques in one of the last remaining mills of its kind in South India. Muzungu Sisters continues to value and champion hand-embroidery which is sadly a dying art.
