The Corona Care Challenge is helping anyone in need, including NHS staff and frontliners, those who are immunocompromised, elderly, single parents, disabled, and high risk individuals, among others. As of 30 March, the organisation is already operating in 11 hospitals and counting, including The Royal Free, UCLH, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital. They are organising fully stocked food banks, day to day snacks and drinks, and are preparing thousands of ready meals for NHS staff. They are also focusing efforts on supplying skincare products to provide relief from the continuous wear of PPE.
In addition, the Corona Care Challenge is also providing care packages for anyone in isolation. These care packages include non-perishable goods, fruits and vegetables, household essentials, personal care products, baby food, as well as pet food. The Corona Care Challenge is utilising a large hygienically sealed garage that has been turned into a warehouse to prepare the packages. All packers and drivers wear PPE to ensure everyone's health and safety.
The Corona Care Challenge is a charity organisation run by the Landesberg family from North London. The tight-knit family has always been heavily involved in charity work and strongly believe in being proactive and helpful to anyone in need. Now more than ever, they are bringing people together to provide much needed aid and relief during these uncertain and unsettling times.
